Paula Abramson has been in the field of education for over 30 years. She has enjoyed teaching pre-kindergarteners to adults, along with directing an adult and community education program in central Maine. Victor Anderson has trained with the Conscious Communication Institute in Greenfield, MA under Sandra Boston, MSW. Aunt Bea has always had a special affinity for those pesky creatures. She has a degree in entomology and continues her research on a bug’s life here in southern Maine. Robert Blackmore began playing bridge with his parents when he was eight. He has played competitive duplicate bridge for Master Points while in college at UMO. He has more than 30 years of professional teaching experience. Phillip Breton has been fly fishing since childhood. He studied Science and Biology at USM. He has assisted many anglers at refining their fishing skills and guided many to great adventures. Fly fishing is one of his passions. Milda A. Castner, Esq. has been practicing law in Maine since 1983. Her emphasis is in estate planning, probate administration and contested probate matters, elder law, real estate, and municipal law. She has served on many boards and committees. Brian T. Clark is the program manager of the STRONG Fathers Network. He has worked in schools and non-profits around southern Maine and is the father of five-year-old twins. STRONG Fathers Network is a program of York County Community Action Corporation and is dedicated to supporting men in their efforts to become skilled, active, and strong parents. The Network provides information, education, and other services to men in York County. Carol Cliche is a LOA life coach for Conscious Creation Living, offering private consultations for helping people to make positive life changes and to live their dream life. As a professional motivational speaker, her exuberant passion for living life to the fullest is spiritually uplifting and inspiring in her presentations. Joan Cowgill, long time educator, enjoys her role as educational counselor and student advocate. She has experience with students K- post-graduate and enjoys the opportunity to help students reach their goals. Michele Creech has been a Registered Dietitian for the past 14 years and has worked in a variety of settings including Maine Medial Center and Nutrition Consultants in Biddeford. She is experienced in the areas of weight loss and healthy eating. She is certified nationally and licensed in the State of Maine as well as a Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian. Julie Cunningham is a professionally trained individual Style and Image Consultant. Her dynamic, exciting presentations involve students fully. Bob Doyle and his wife Eve Ellison have been the owners FrameWorks in Kennebunk since 2001. They have been happily framing family photographs and personal memories and invite you to come and frame yours. Anita Findlen CHt, (Hypnotic Solutions/ Gardens of Atlantis) is certified in Past Life Regression therapy by Henry Bolduc, a nationally renowned regression master for 45 years. She is a successful long-term adult educator who has her own successful Hypnotherapy practice. Ray Fowler’s career has included a tour with the USAF Security Service; he was asenior planner for the Minuteman Missile Program. An internationally respected UFO researcher, he has written ten books on the subject. Marcus Gale is a children’s musician, composer, songwriter and storyteller who has performed at family festivals throughout northern New England. Jane Garnsey’s life goal from the age of six was to draw. Now a professionally trained and supportive art teacher, she encourages students to use class to build an artistic framework so they can successfully create their own artwork at home when class is over. Scott Gasperin has spent the past 20 years trying to learn how to capture the wonders found in our world with his camera. His images have been published in travel guidebooks and magazines, and have been on display in local galleries. Dennis Gosselin is an enthusiastic dance teacher who presents class material in a sequential progression of steps. His students see him as an instructor who increases student confidence. Shelli Hope-Pride has worked in Adult Education for the past ten years. During this time, she has taught basic to advanced computer at various Adult Education programs throughout southern Maine and at USM. Amy Johnson loves to cook for family and friends. She has started a cooking club with a group of friends. Her dream job would be to teach cooking classes to people in their own homes. Amy’s favorite things to make are appetizers and main dishes. Beth Keezer is in her 26th year of teaching at Kennebunk High School. During the past year, she has worked with juniors to develop SAT test taking skills and has trained them on how to use the computer program and to analyze their tests. Jean Schmid Lakari began her Yoga education in Daramasala, India, in 1986 and continued at the Yoga Center in Portland, Maine. She has studied with nationally recognized Iyengar Yoga teachers as well as advanced teachers of Kundalini Maha yoga. She has been teaching in southern Maine since 1990. John Leatherman has spent a life time perfecting the best wax for his wing tips. He has created a unique polish formula of wax and elbow grease. He can be seen on the streets of the Kennebunks from a distance due to the almost blinding sparkle on his shoes. Kathleen Angel Lee‘s passion and avocation has been sewing since she was twelve years old and has been quilting since the 1980s. She looks to nature for her inspiration. She is a member of the American Quilters Society, the Art Quilts Maine chapter of the Pine Tree Quilters Guild, the Art Guild of Kennebunk, the International Quilt Association, ME Women in the Arts, Maine FiberArts, Seacoast Area Fiber Artists and Studio Art Quilt Associates. Fielder Mattox, AAMS, is a Financial Consultant, Accredited Asset Management Specialist, and Retirement Planning Consultant focused on the preservation of assets, increasing growth and income, as well as estate planning and wealth transfer strategies. He has lived in Maine for over ten years and is based in Portland. William May has been active in the senior market for over 14 years. He has worked as a senior revere mortgage consultant for Equity America for over four years. Martha McGannon’s background is communications. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Marty is an Alternate Examiner for GED testing. She is patient and positive as she gives her students confidence. MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association) takes pride in their skill and knowledge of growing organic products and are excited to share this knowledge with the gardening community. Richard Morin is the founder and owner of Consumers First Mortgage in Kennebunk. He has enjoyed a 25 plus year career in the banking and home finance industry. Bob and Ed Maurais are co-owners of Mainely Ticks serving York and Cumberland Counties and licensed Commercial Master Applicators in Maine. Barb Maurais is an educator and maintains the company website. Kathy Nutter started training dogs at eight years old in her own backyard. She has taught dog obedience classes in Adult Education for the past eight years. Gordon Platt is a Small Business Development Counselor who has had many experiences in business settings. His areas of expertise include purchasing, marketing, advertising, sales, budgeting/ cash flow management, and human resources. Sharon Robinson has knitted and crocheted most of her adult life and is ready to share this hobby with our students. She is very patient in her approach to teaching. Ted St. Armand is owner of Atlantic Pest Solutions and is a commercial Master Applicator in Maine and in New Hampshire. He is a registered IPM Practitioner and is a current board member on the Maine IPM Council with thirty years of pest management experience. Rachel Seemar is a member of MOFGA and operates Wildroot Farms, a completely organic produce farm that sells shares during the summer and fall. She also sells her vegetables and eggs at local farmers’ markets in the area. Tracy Shaw owns the Diamond Dream Dog Center in Kennebunk and teaches numerous dog training classes. . Jean Strazdes is a voice instructor at Phillips Exeter Academy and artistic director at Seaglass Performing Arts in Kennebunk. She has taught voice and directed over 30 musical theater plays in addition to performing professionally. Rod Street has been experimenting with color and cars since his graduation from the School of Fine Arts. His auto-art has been recognized throughout the world. Paulette Taschereau is a certified Eden Energy Medicine practioner and has advanced level training in R integrated energy therapy from The Center of Being, Inc. Barry Tibbetts is Kennebunk’s Town Manager; he has been involved in the town’s government since 1993 and has been in the Manager’s position since 1998. He is a graduate of USM with a degree in Business Management, and he holds the credential of Nationally Accredited Town Manager. Claire Unsinn is the founder and producer of Merry Makers, a musical theater troupe in Kennebunk. She has had experience conducting children’s choruses and has been a member of Voices from the Heart, a Portsmouth-based women’s choir. She is also a chorus member of Wassail-by-the-Sea, a Kennebunk musical troupe. Donna Urban has been assisting students and instructions for two years at Adult Education of the Kennebunks. She is available to answer any questions and solve problems for you. Billy Vandervalk is a former bike shop mechanic with 13 years experience – from riding wheelies as a child in his parents’ driveway to repairing a wide variety of bikes in the Kennebunks. Serena Wakelin, has taught making Ukrainian eggs for many years. Her students thoroughly enjoy this popular course. Margaret Wibel is enjoying her seventh year at Adult Education of the Kennebunks. She is happy to help both students and teachers. She is also a competent and patient teacher of Computer for Seniors. Barbara Wilkinson graduated from UNH with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Women’s Studies. In 2006, she joined the Animal Welfare Society as Humane Educator where she runs all Humane Education programming as well as the low-cost spay/neuter program. She has been passionate about animals throughout her life, working as a stable management instructor at a horse stable, a kennel tech at a veterinary hospital and at the Hubbard Genome Center’s aquaculture facility at UNH. Pauline Wilson has a Bachelor’s Degree in biology, with a chemistry minor. She has worked as a Medical Assistant in Kennebunk for 15 years. She began her study of Reiki in 2000 and received her Master Teacher Degree in 2002. Pauline currently conducts a Reiki practice in her home. |
