Assistive Technology Specialist
Qualifications:
Proven ability to install and troubleshoot basic software/hardware issues
Experience integrating assistive technology using both Windows and Apple OS X
Experience working directly with students and teachers in the classroom
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of assistive technologies and application in K-12
Responsibilities:
Provide professional development as needed for special education and support staff
Develop lessons that promote student achievement through use of appropriate assistive technologies
Oversight of special education technology equipment and software inventory
Recommend emerging assistive technologies for students in RSU 21
Provide basic technical support and user assistance for software and hardware issues

Qualifications:
Working knowledge of computers and peripherals
Proven ability to install/troubleshoot/resolve hardware/software issues
Experience with both Windows and Apple OS X
Highly organized with great interpersonal skills
Experience using interactive Whiteboard desirable
Previous experience in school setting desirable
A+ certification or equivalent work experience highly desirable
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues as requested
Install hardware and software as requested
Provide basic end-user technology instruction
Coordination of the MLTI Program including device management, maintenance, and inventory
