 DUTIES OF THE BOARD OF SCHOOL DIRECTORS

The Board of School Directors shall:

a.         Employ an able and qualified Superintendent of Schools.

b.         Adopt policies to determine decisions in the operation of the school system.

c.         Evaluate the efficiency of the school program.

d.         Interpret the educational program to the people and invite discussion and suggestions on important educational policies.

e.         Take such specific actions as are required by law (Refer to State of Maine Revised Statues.)

f.          Provide financial resources by preparing and presenting to the electorate an adequate budget.
