ANNUAL ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING OF THE BOARD

The Board shall organize annually, in July, following the election of directors.

By majority vote, a Chairperson and a Vice-Chairperson shall be named.

Each newly elected director, prior to the choice of said officers, shall take the following oath or affirmation before a dedimus justice or notary public:

“I,........, do swear that I will faithfully discharge, to the best of my abilities, the duties incumbent on me as School Director of School Administrative District #71, according to the constitution and laws of the state.  So help me God.”

When a School Director is conscientiously scrupulous of taking an oath, the word “affirm” shall be used instead of swear,” and the words, “This I do under the pains and penalty of perjury,” instead of the words, “So help me God."
