AWARDS BY BOARD OF SCHOOL DIRECTORS

The Board of School Directors may present, annually any of the following three awards; however, none of the awards need be made annually.

Special Achievement Award:

To be presented by the Chairperson of the Board of School Directors, to that person, group, or organization who has demonstrated outstanding achievement during the past year(s) for an entity within MSAD #71. Recommendations will be made by the Administrative Team to the Board of School Directors which will determine the recipient of the award.

Sportsmanship Award:

To be presented by the Chairperson of the Board of School Directors, to that person, group, or organization who has demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship during the past year(s) at Kennebunk High School. Recommendations will be made by the Administrative Team to the Board of School Directors, who will determine the recipient of the award.

Payson Hunter Award:

An annual award known as the Payson L. Hunter Award shall be given by the Directors of M.S.A.D. No. 71 to a member of the community for outstanding dedication and service on behalf of the schools in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. This award is in commemoration of the services provided the District by Payson L. Hunter.
