DISMISSAL OF PUPILS
1. Pupils shall be released from school only to their parents, person authorized by their parents or legal guardian. In the case of children of divorced or separated parents, the school must be notified of legal rights of both parents. Foster children, or state wards, may be dismissed only to a person, or agency representative, having shown legal authorization.
2. Pupils shall be released for days of religious observance upon request of their parents or guardians.
3. A school child who becomes ill shall be dismissed only after suitable home arrangements have been made.
4. Request for time for dental or medical appointments are honored, when circumstances so require, if the request is made by the close of school previous to the day of the appointment.

REMOVAL OF STUDENTS FROM CLASS
Except for administrative purposes or educational activities approved by the school, such as assemblies, guidance consultations, special education, and tutoring, no student, kindergarten through grade 12, shall be removed from class without written permission from the student’s parent or guardian.
