Parking at Kennebunk High School is a privilege, not a right. Students are permitted to park on school grounds on a space-available basis. The Kennebunk High School parking lot is school property, and all M.S.A.D. No. 71 and school rules shall be enforced in the parking lot. The following specific rules apply to parking in the Kennebunk High School Parking lot:
1. The license plate number of the vehicle to be parked on school grounds must be provided in the space below. If a student drives a vehicle other than the one listed below to school, the student should notify the office staff immediately upon arriving at school.
2. Student vehicles parked on school property are subject to search. Student vehicles and their contents, including containers located therein, may be searched upon reasonable suspicion that the vehicle contains evidence that the student has violated M.S.A.D. No. 71 or school rules, or State or federal law.
3. The Kennebunk High School parking lot, like all other school property, is subject to canine patrols – inspection by dogs trained to detect drugs and/or weapons. In addition, school administrators may conduct plain view inspections of vehicles parked in the Kennebunk High School parking lot.
By signing below, we acknowledge and agree that these rules, along with all other M.S.A.D. No. 71 and school rules, including M.S.A.D. No. 71 Policy Article II – Administration, Section 39 - Searches of School Storage Facilities, Students, and Students’ Belongings, will be enforced in the Kennebunk High School parking lot.
